Join ArtTable for a tour, led by modern art curator, Carol Eliel, of the comprehensive retrospective of the work of László Moholy-Nagy, his first retrospective in the United States in nearly fifty years.

This long overdue presentation--declared "lavishly groundbreaking" by The New York Times—reveals a utopian artist who believed that art could work hand in hand with technology for the betterment of humanity. Moholy-Nagy: Future Present examines the career of this visionary Hungarian painter, photographer, sculptor, and filmmaker as well as graphic, exhibition, and stage designer. Know also as an influential teacher at the Bauhaus and a prolific writer, he founded Chicago’s Institute of Design, which did much to introduce the Bauhaus credo to America. The exhibition includes more than 250 works in all media, including his Room of the Present, a contemporary reconstruction of an installation conceived by Moholy-Nagy in 1930.
Please meet the group near the entrance to the Art of the Americas Building at LACMA.

Thank you to Roni Feinstein for organizing this program.
