ArtTable invites you on a guided tour of Louise Bourgeois’s home and studio, and The Easton Foundation's townhouse and exhibition space during ArtTable's 23rd Annual Benefit week of events.

Now housed in an adjacent townhouse to Bourgeois's home, The Easton Foundation was established by the artist in the 1980s as a nonprofit charitable organization. The Foundation features the Louise Bourgeois Archive, a study center and residency program, a sculpture garden, and an exhibition space presenting works from the collection. The tour will include a survey of photographs, exhibition announcements, and personal writings that hint at the breadth and scope of the archive and provide unique insight into the artist’s creative process. In addition, the tour will include a visit to the parlor floor of Bourgeois’s home, where many works were conceived or made and the backyard sculpture garden will be open, weather permitting.

Please note: Both townhouses are quite narrow and climbing stairs (some steep) will be involved; comfortable shoes are advised. There are a limited number of spaces available for this event, however a second visit to The Foundation has been scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2016. Registration for the November 10th visit will be announced at a later date.

Thank you to Wendy Williams and Maggie Write.
