2017 Whitney Biennial

Join ArtTable for a private before-hours tour of the 2017 Whitney Biennial, the first biennial to be held in the Whitney’s downtown home and the largest ever in terms of gallery space. The biennial is cocurated by Christopher Y. Lew and Mia Locks. lt includes sixty-three participants, ranging from emerging to well-established artists to collectives, working in painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, film and video, photography, activism, performance, music, and video game design. Key themes addressed by this year’s selected artists are the formation of self and the individual’s place in a turbulent society. 


Exhibition tour at CIMA

A guided tour of Giorgio de Chirico – Giulio Paolini / Giulio Paolini – Giorgio de Chirico with a welcome introduction by the Executive Director of CIMA, Heather Ewing.  The visit will be led by CIMA Fellows and last approximately one hour. A complimentary Lavazza espresso is offered at the start.

Chapter Leadership and Volunteer Brunch

ArtTable recognizes the hard work and dedication of chapter chairs and volunteers from across the country with a private brunch at the FLAG Art Foundation. Volunteers gather to celebrate the past year of programs and events and discuss new local and national programs and initiatives for the coming year. After the brunch, artist Cynthia Diagnault, will lead a tour of the show Cynthia Diagnault:There is nothing I could say that I haven't thought before.
