POSTPONED DUE TO GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN.
Join ArtTable DC for a behind-the-scenes conversation on the latest technology initiatives from the Hirshhorn Museum. Test out their new mobile experience and tour their largest interactive technology exhibition to date, three major installations from Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s Pulse series come together for the artist’s DC debut.

Hirshhorn Eye (Hi for short) is a revolutionary in-gallery art guide that uses image recognition to scan art as you go, instantly unlocking exclusive artist videos and insider info. Its web-based platform and image recognition capabilities go beyond the technology of other museums’ mobile guides with more than 150 pieces of unique content, from Yayoi Kusama’s “Pumpkin” to Mark Bradford’s “Pickett’s Charge.”

Hi was recently awarded “Best App” at the prestigious International Design and Communication Awards. This groundbreaking project brought together three vendors for the first time: Linked By Air (technical development and UX design), Antenna International (visitor guide) and Captain and the Fox (video production), all of whom worked with Hirshhorn staff for more than a year.

Join us for an exclusive chat and Q&A with AT members Alice Walker, Director of Creative Strategy & Global Head of Interactive Design at Antenna International, and Hilary-Morgan Watt, Digital Engagement Manager at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
