Just announced! We have just extended our event at the Bendix Building to include a visit to THE EVERY WOMAN BIENNIAL, curated by C. Finley. Join us at 5 PM to explore this Biennial with Finley, before visiting the fantastic galleries and studios of other artists situated in the building!

The historic, 1930 Beaux-Arts edifice, which features remarkable sculptural ornamentation--bas-reliefs of Renaissance scholars and crests dedicated to the arts--was designed by architect William Douglas Lee, who was also the designer of the contemporaneous Chateau Marmont. The Bendix Building is at present home to almost a dozen public art spaces (many of them non-profit and/or artist run) plus about 30 artist studios, as well as an assortment of cultural pop-ups.

We will gather for a reception at art consultant, curator, and ArtTable Member Annie Wharton's new gallery, the LADIES' ROOM, which will have on view an exhibition of Krysten Cunningham (recently featured in LACMA's "3D Show"). Other galleries in the building are the nonprofit exhibition space, JOAN, which will be presenting an exhibition of the work of Sara Greenberger Rafferty as well as Chateau Shatto, Van Lintel, Track 16, Durden and Ray, PØST, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, and numerous others. Among the artists whose studios we might visit are the following: Parker Ito, Matt Lipps, Katherina Olschbaur, Suzanne Wright, Randy Colosky, and Cole Case. (Please note: suggestions for other studios to visit are appreciated!)
