L. Parker Stephenson Photographs
Established on Madison Avenue in 2008, the Gallery is an intimate space presenting exhibitions of works by 20th and 21st century photographers from the United States, Europe, Africa and Japan. L. Parker Stephenson Photographs also represents a number of living artists from around the world as well as the estate of Belgian artist Jan Yoors. The Gallery focuses on presenting the work of previously overlooked artists.

Luke Swank, Vernacular Architecture Through a Modernist Eye
September 13- November 21, 2018

In the 1930s, the work of Pennsylvania-based photographer Luke Swank (1890-1944) was heralded by fellow artists, curators, and art critics alike. Leading institutions on the both the east and west coast (MoMA, Julien Levy Gallery, and f.64 Group, among others) presented Swank’s modernist visions of rural architecture, urban scenes and circus imagery which represented a disappearing America at the time of the Depression. Due to an early death and a paucity of material in public hands, Swank's work was mostly overlooked for more that six decades. This presentation brings to light a selection of signed, mounted vintage prints which highlight Swank’s graphic composition, rhythmic forms, detailed texture, and bold lighting and shadow through architectural elements of both the city and the countryside.

MeetAT is a free member-hosted event for existing and potential ArtTable members from all sectors of the art world to mingle and engage with each other in a casual atmosphere. Come solo or bring a guest to this lively gathering that encourages new friends and trusted colleagues to get to know one another better. Without a formal program, everyone is free to network and engage in conversation.

Thanks to Louky Keijsers Koning for organizing this program and Parker Stephenson for hosting.
