ArtTable's professional empowerment series invites experts to share their professional experiences, knowledge and skills. Each session presents an opportunity to engage with and learn more about a topic, issue or skill that directly impacts the professional lives of our members. Past sessions topics have included, Art Market Legal Basics with Katie Wilson-Milne and John Koegel, Recruitment in the Art World with Freda Mindlin,  Everything You Wanted to Know About Social Media But Were Afraid to Ask with Robin Cembalest and many more!

Session 9 with Michaela Ablon, Public Speaking and Effective Communication 

As a workshop presenter and public speaking coach, Michaela knows how to captivate an audience. As an organizational psychologist, she understands communication strategically and systemically. Whether leading a professional development workshop, working with a team or 1:1 with a coachee, Michaela's clients value her warmth, humor, agility, pragmatic nature, breadth of experience and evidence-based method. 

Michaela holds an Executive Masters degree in Organizational Psychology and Change Leadership and a certificate in the Principles and Practices of Organizational Development, both from Columbia University. Her background combines a performing arts degree with 20+ years of professional achievement in both the for- and not-for-profit sectors. Michaela is a long-serving trustee and Board Strategist of The Field, an organization that provides resources and thought leadership to build a more diverse and equitable arts sector in New York City and beyond.

Michaela's clients include for- and not-for-profit enterprise leaders and managers, teams and boards of directors.
