SESSION 6–Tax issues affecting art transactions with 
Steve Goldglit and Ilyana Lafazan

Steve Goldgilt, Senior Partner, Goldglit and Company LLP
Steven is the Senior Partner of the Firm, and works directly with all clients. He provides tax, general accounting and business consulting services to a diversified group of clients in the private sector. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

Steven began his career at Price Waterhouse, where he focused on Audits of middle–market public companies.  After obtaining his CPA license, he joined KL Goldglit & Co, Inc. the predecessor firm to Goldglit & Company LLP.  He became a principal of the Firm in 1999, and Managing Partner in 2005. He has an extensive knowledge of the Fine Art marketplace, and works with all clients to improve the financial viability of each.

Steven earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland College of Business and Management, and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Long Island University. His professional affiliations include membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  He is married to Lisa Goldglit, and has four children.

 Ilyana Lafazan

Ilyana is a Tax Director at Goldglit & Company, LLP and has over 15 years of experience in public accounting at mid-sized public accounting firms.  Her career focuses on providing income tax preparation, tax planning, and consulting services for high net worth individuals and their closely held businesses.  Throughout her career, Ilyana has worked with a wide range of clients in a variety of fields including financial services, family office, real estate and entertainment.  She joined Goldglit & Company LLP in 2018 and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State. 

Ilyana received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her professional affiliations include memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). 

She resides in Manhattan with her husband and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
