DESCRIPTION:4 pm PST / 5 pm MST / 6 pm CST / 7 pm EST \n\n\n\nReporting Results and Sharing Solutions: First Findings from ArtTable’s Survey on Gender and Pay Equity\n\n\n\nSince the fall of 2022\, ArtTable has conducted a survey to better understand compensation—and compensation inequity—in the arts\, with a particular focus on gender and compensation. At this collaborative workshop\, Dr. Gillian Gualtieri will present the findings from our first white paper report: “Costs of Working in the Arts.” Then\, attendees will collaboratively respond to the findings and begin to build solutions and suggestions that will be incorporated into the final document and circulated among members. Previously\, she was a postdoctoral scholar at the Curb Center for Art\, Enterprise and Public Policy at Vanderbilt University and a postdoctoral fellow at New York University. In 2018\, Gillian received her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of California\, Berkeley.  Gillian has published research on symbolic compliance and sexual harassment on college campuses (in Sociological Forum)\, inequality in the art world (Poetics; SNAAP Report)\, and racial and gender inequality in fine dining (Social Problems; Poetics).
