SUMMARY:New York\, NY | MeetAT at CHART
DESCRIPTION:Installation view\, Whitney Oldenburg: Ticket to Paradise (November 3\, 2023 – January 6\, 2024)\, CHART\, New York.\n\n\n\nYou’re invited to a New York MeetAT networking event on May 12\, graciously hosted by CHART. Join us for an evening of light refreshments and engaging conversations with fellow ArtTable members and new connections. \n\n\n\nAbout CHART: CHART is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to rigorous\, conceptually grounded practices with an emphasis on material exploration and technical craft. Founded in 2019 by Clara Ha\, formerly a partner at Paul Kasmin Gallery\, CHART presents an intergenerational selection of artists with women in the majority and a commitment to long-term collaboration. Across painting\, sculpture\, photography\, and installation\, the gallery supports work that engages cultural memory\, embodied experience\, and transformation through material inquiry. \n\n\n\nAt CHART:Whitney Oldenburg: hardening the braces will be on view at CHART from April 17 through May 30\, 2026. In this exhibition\, made up of large charcoal drawings and sculptures\, Oldenburg reflects on how people prepare for an uncertain future\, examining the accumulation of survival goods and preparedness materials as both a psychological response to instability and a mirror of broader systems of consumption. \n\n\n\nRead more about the exhibition here. \n\n\n\nAre you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do? This is a great opportunity for potential members to get to know us! \n\n\n\nAdmission: \n\n\n\n\nFREE to ArtTable Members and their guests\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nNot a member? SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Studio Visit with Aiza Ahmed
DESCRIPTION:Studio view\, Silver Art Projects\, New York\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin ArtTable for a studio visit with Aiza Ahmed! \n\n\n\nAiza Ahmed (b. 1997\, Lahore\, Pakistan) is an interdisciplinary artist working across painting\, drawing\, sculpture\, installation\, and video. Her practice engages borders\, migrations\, public histories\, and private archives within diasporic identities originating from the Indian Subcontinent. Interweaving humor and performance\, Ahmed constructs theatrical compositions drawn from archival and cultural sources that unsettle fixed ideas of nationhood\, masculinity\, and belonging. She is drawn to the spectrum of masculinity\, those who project power and those forced to perform it.Ahmed received her MFA (Painting) from Rhode Island School of Design (2024) and BFA from Cornell University (2020). Her debut New York solo show\, The Music Room\, was presented at Sargent’s Daughters (2025)\, followed by a solo presentation\, Footnotes\, at the inaugural Art Basel Qatar (2026). She has exhibited internationally and her work is held in public collections including the RISD Museum and Brown University\, among others. Ahmed is the recipient of the 2025 Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant\, including the Peter Hort Award recognition. She has participated in residencies with William Kentridge and the Centre for the Less Good Idea\, The Macedonia Institute\, Chatham\, NY; Silver Art Projects\, New York; and the Arts Intensive Study Program at Fire Station\, Doha\, Qatar.  \n\n\n\nFor questions about access or to request accommodations please contact us at programs@arttable.org. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guest – $20\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $25\n\n\n\n\nNot a member?
