SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Art Week Gallery Walk: Upper East Side
DESCRIPTION:We are partnering with Art Week to present a gallery walk in Upper East Side\, NYC. Attendees will visit Ruiz-Healy Art\, Van Doren Waxter\, and Richard Saltoun Gallery. We will hear from the gallery director at each location\, and learn more about each current exhibition. \n\n\n\nFounded in San Antonio\, Texas\, in 2006\, Ruiz-Healy Art represents an international roster of artists\, emphasizing Latino/a and Latin American creators and prominent Texas-based artists. Biculturalism and discussions of identity are important aspects for several artists we work with. In the spring of 2019\, we opened a gallery space in the Upper East Side of New York City that works in tandem with the gallery in San Antonio as a platform to disseminate the artist’s work. The continuous investments in these underrepresented areas have remained a longstanding signature of the gallery program. At Ruiz-Healy Art\, we will hear from Patti Ruiz-Healy. \n\n\n\nVan Doren Waxter presents a cross generational program specializing in artists working from the post WW II era to the present. It brings together foundations and estates with a select roster of living artists. At Van Doren Waxter\, we will hear from Dorsey Waxter and Liz Sadeghi. \n\n\n\nFounded in 2012 in London\, Richard Saltoun Gallery specialises in Modern and Post-War art\, guided by a strong focus on rediscovering the work of important yet under-recognised women artists through presentations at all its locations\, online exhibitions\, publications\, events and participation in art fairs around the world. With three international locations\, Dover Street in London\, Via Margutta in Rome\, and on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York\, the gallery provides an important hub for discussion\, collaboration\, and collecting. At Richard Saltoun Gallery\, we will hear from Monica King. Light refreshments will be provided. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guests – $20\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $25\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? The exhibition is on view through December 31\, 2026. Photo by Simon Cherry.\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin ArtTable for a day trip to New Canaan\, Connecticut. \n\n\n\nOur day begins with an Executive Director & Curator-Led Tour of America Abroad: Art\, Architecture\, and Diplomacy with Laurence Lafforgue at the Onera Foundation. Presented on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States\, the exhibition offers rare public access to artworks typically seen only at US embassies—spaces not generally open to the public—and explores how art and architecture have shaped the United States’ diplomatic presence abroad from the Cold War to today. The exhibition includes works by leading American artists including Carmen Herrera\, Jasper Johns\, Ellsworth Kelly\, Sol LeWitt\, Roy Lichtenstein\, Julie Mehretu\, Martin Puryear\, Robert Rauschenberg\, Ed Ruscha\, Joel Shapiro\, Frank Stella\, Carrie Mae Weems and many others. A replica of the 1823 William J. Stone engraving of the Declaration of Independence will also be on view. A parallel section focuses on the evolution of US embassy architecture\, featuring buildings designed by leading midcentury architects such as Edward Durell Stone and Walter Gropius\, alongside more recent contributions by firms including Skidmore\, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and KieranTimberlake\, among others. \n\n\n\nIn the afternoon\, we will visit The Glass House and Galleries for a two hour tour. The tour includes access to 5 structures – the Glass House\, Brick House\, Painting Gallery\, Sculpture Gallery\, and Da Monsta – with a three-quarter mile walk over paths (gravel and paved) and grass. To mark the centennial of Robert Rauschenberg’s birth\, The Glass House together with the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation proudly presents Tomashi Jackson and Robert Rauschenberg: The Catch One. Featuring newly commissioned paintings by Jackson in dialogue with works by Rauschenberg from the historic site’s permanent collection\, the exhibition contributes to a global slate of 2025–26 initiatives that reexamine Rauschenberg’s legacy\, honoring his expansive creativity\, spirit of curiosity\, and commitment to change. \n\n\n\nItinerary: \n\n\n\n11am: Curator-Led Tour of America Abroad: Art\, Architecture\, and Diplomacy at the Onera Foundation \n\n\n\n12pm: Break for Lunch \n\n\n\n1pm: The Glass House & Galleries Tour \n\n\n\nFor questions about access or to request accommodations please contact us at programs@arttable.org. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $50\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guest – $55\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $60\n\n\n\n\nNot a member?
