DESCRIPTION:Installation view\, Whitney Oldenburg: Ticket to Paradise (November 3\, 2023 – January 6\, 2024)\, CHART\, New York.\n\n\n\nYou’re invited to a New York MeetAT networking event on May 12\, graciously hosted by CHART. Join us for an evening of light refreshments and engaging conversations with fellow ArtTable members and new connections. \n\n\n\nAbout CHART: CHART is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to rigorous\, conceptually grounded practices with an emphasis on material exploration and technical craft. Founded in 2019 by Clara Ha\, formerly a partner at Paul Kasmin Gallery\, CHART presents an intergenerational selection of artists with women in the majority and a commitment to long-term collaboration. Across painting\, sculpture\, photography\, and installation\, the gallery supports work that engages cultural memory\, embodied experience\, and transformation through material inquiry. \n\n\n\nAt CHART:Whitney Oldenburg: hardening the braces will be on view at CHART from April 17 through May 30\, 2026. In this exhibition\, made up of large charcoal drawings and sculptures\, Oldenburg reflects on how people prepare for an uncertain future\, examining the accumulation of survival goods and preparedness materials as both a psychological response to instability and a mirror of broader systems of consumption. \n\n\n\nRead more about the exhibition here. \n\n\n\nAre you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do? This is a great opportunity for potential members to get to know us! \n\n\n\nAdmission: \n\n\n\n\nFREE to ArtTable Members and their guests\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nNot a member? SUMMARY:Washington\, D.C | MeetAT at NCO Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Photo Credit: NCO Creative – Exterior view of NCO Gallery\n\n\n\nYou’re invited to a Washington\, D.C. MeetAT networking event on April 28\, graciously hosted by NCO Gallery. Join us for an evening of light refreshments and engaging conversations with fellow ArtTable members and new connections. \n\n\n\nAbout NCO Gallery: NCO Gallery\, located in Blagden Alley\, Washington\, D.C.\, is a contemporary art space presenting international works with a strong emphasis on Cuban artists. Situated within one of the city’s most culturally active corridors\, known for its murals and evolving creative landscape\, the gallery engages its surroundings as part of its broader curatorial context. The program operates at the intersection of exhibition and cultural production\, with a focus on expanding the visibility of artists working across diverse global contexts. In addition to exhibitions\, NCO presents a range of programming\, including live music\, screenings\, and intimate gatherings\, that position the space as an active site for dialogue and exchange. Through both independent projects and collaborations with local and institutional partners\, the gallery contributes to ongoing conversations within the city’s cultural fabric\, developing presentations that are immersive\, context-driven\, and responsive to place. \n\n\n\nThe gallery is founded and directed by Natalie O’Connor\, a Gallerist and Curator whose work centers on cross-cultural exchange and the introduction of artists from developing regions to U.S. audiences. She has organized exhibitions across Cuba\, Lebanon\, Florida\, Virginia\, and Washington\, D.C.\, and spent five years with the World Bank Art Program contributing to large-scale multidimensional exhibitions. Of Cuban-Irish descent\, her perspective is informed by a longstanding engagement with international contemporary art. \n\n\n\nAt NCO Gallery:UNVEILED presents the nude human form as a raw and intentional means of expression. Rooted in a long artistic tradition\, the body has served for centuries as a powerful vehicle for communication\, long before it became narrowly framed through taboo or sexualization. In this exhibition\, the figure is not offered for consumption\, but for engagement\, standing as a site of strength\, vulnerability\, resistance\, and belief. \n\n\n\nThis group exhibition reflects a range of perspectives that use the human form to articulate personal\, cultural\, and social realities. Whether working from their own bodies or those of their subjects\, the artists expose more than physical presence. They reveal positions shaped by history\, environment\, identity\, and human experience\, using the body as a direct and uncompromising medium. \n\n\n\nAcross these works\, the nude emerges as an act of assertion rather than spectacle. It becomes a language through which resilience\, resistance\, and humanity are not merely depicted\, but embodied\, inviting viewers to reconsider the body as a site of meaning\, affirmation\, and enduring expressive power. \n\n\n\nFeatured Artists: René Peña\, Néstor Arenas\, Sándor González Vilar\, Omar Tirado\, Yari Rassi and Su_ayma Parra \n\n\n\nAre you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do? This is a great opportunity for potential members to get to know us! \n\n\n\nAdmission: \n\n\n\n\nFREE to ArtTable Members and their guests\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nNot a member? Join today!

SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Exhibition Walkthrough at Pace Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable at Pace Gallery for an exhibition walkthrough of Maysha Mohamedi: Maysha the Fool with Isabel Ross and Oliver Shultz. \n\n\n\nVibrant and playful\, Maysha Mohamedi’s (b. 1980\, Los Angeles) innovative practice points toward a new mode of atmospheric abstraction that registers certain conditions specific to Los Angeles—and American life as a whole—in the early twenty-first century. Reflecting her personal history and key constellations in her own cultural matrix\, her palette is both purely abstract and directly connected to the patchwork of landscapes\, objects\, and environments that comprise her life. These range from an Ojai\, California\, playground the artist visited with her children to clippings from cookbooks and magazines and sea glass found on the shore. Mohamedi’s works are reflections of her own thinking\, crystallized as moments of haptic communion. The artist’s academic background in neuroscience is found in the liveliness and expansiveness of her paintings. Liberated from the constraints and dictates of the three-dimensional world\, her immersive works exude a sense of freedom and illimitability. For Mohamedi\, the viewer is an equal creator in this shared universe of boundless possibilities. \n\n\n\nFor questions about access or to request accommodations please contact us at programs@arttable.org. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guest – $20\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $25\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? Join us for an evening of light refreshments and engaging conversations with fellow ArtTable members and new connections. \n\n\n\nAbout Franklin Parrasch Gallery:Franklin Parrasch Gallery began in 1986 with a program guided by a conscious reflection upon the process of creativity as it relates to human evolution. \n\n\n\nOver the past four decades\, the gallery has consistently organized shows that consider diverse evolutionary theories\, with a focused sensitivity to the migration of ideas and aesthetic development as expressed by a wide range of artists who employ innovative practices. \n\n\n\nAs we embark upon our fortieth anniversary in 2026\, we will present a series of exhibitions throughout the year thematically addressing diverse evolutionary theories as they manifest in the contemporary art discourse. \n\n\n\nAt the Franklin Parrasch Gallery:Forty Years of This… is a memoir of an ongoing effort. What began four decades ago as an improvised\, underfunded\, contrarian art venue experiment remains just that. Including works by: Peter Alexander\, Billy Al Bengston\, Forrest Bess\, Kathy Butterly\, John Cederquist\, Tony DeLap\, Ali Dipp\, Mark Gonzales\, Joe Goode\, Francoise Grossen\, Kristy Luck\, John McCracken\, John McLaughlin\, Bruce Nauman\, Ken Price\, Charles Ross\, Stephen Shore\, Sylvia Snowden\, Joan Snyder\, Indivi sutton\, Daniel Turner\, and Peter Voulkos. \n\n\n\nRead more about the exhibition here. \n\n\n\nAre you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do? SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Curator-Led Tour of "Carol Bove" with Katherine Brinson
DESCRIPTION:Carol Bove\, Offenbach Barcarolle\, 2019. Found steel\, stainless steel\, and urethane paint\, 82 1/2 × 76 × 41 in. (209.6 × 193 × 104.1 cm). Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum\, New York\, Purchased with funds contributed by the International Director’s Council\, and partial gift of David Zwirner 2023.11. © Carol Bove Studio LLC. Photo: Maris Hutchinson\n\n\n\n\n\nCarol Bove will be the first museum survey and largest presentation to date of the work of American artist Carol Bove. The exhibition will trace pivotal shifts across Bove’s 25-year career\, ranging from her early drawings to a new\, monumental series of her scrap metal and steel tubing compositions known as “collage sculptures.” The artist will also orchestrate a series of design interventions that subtly inflect the experience of navigating Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic rotunda\, reflecting her longstanding interest in the way objects and images are transformed by their surroundings. \n\n\n\nBove’s inventive practice spans many mediums and formal approaches but is unified by an exacting play of material\, scale\, color\, and space. She places these elements in dialogue with cultural histories and the viewer’s imagination to create the conditions for a resonant perceptual encounter—one that will function\, in the words of the artist\, as “a way of opening the world.” \n\n\n\nKatherine Brinson joined the Guggenheim’s curatorial staff in 2005. She has curated and cocurated numerous exhibitions at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum\, Guggenheim Museum Bilbao\, and the former Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin\, including Carol Bove (2026); Alex Katz: Gathering (2022–23); Etel Adnan: Light’s New Measure  (2021–22); The Hugo Boss Prize 2020: Deana Lawson\, Centropy (2021); The Hugo Boss Prize 2018: Simone Leigh (2019); Danh Vo: Take My Breath Away (2018); The Hugo Boss Prize 2016: Anicka Yi\, Life Is Cheap (2017); Doris Salcedo (2015); Storylines (2015); The Hugo Boss Prize 2014: Paul Chan\, Nonprojections for New Lovers (2015); Christopher Wool (2013–14); The Hugo Boss Prize 2012: Danh Vo (2013); The Hugo Boss Prize 2010: Hans-Peter Feldmann (2011); The Luminous Interval: The D. SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Curator-Led Tour of "Art X Fashion" with Elizabeth Way
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable at The Museum at FIT for a curator-led tour of Art X Fashion. \n\n\n\n“This exhibition will garner strong opinions and spark lively dialogue\, but whether you decide that fashion is art or not\, fashion’s strong and mutual relationship with fine art is undeniable.” – Elizabeth Way\, MFIT Curator of Costume and Accessories \n\n\n\nThe exhibition highlights how fashion is utilized as an expressive tool for artists\, such as Salvador Dalí\, Pablo Picasso\, and Sonia Delaunay\, alongside designers like Scott Barrie and Hussein Chalayan who root their concepts deeply in their art education\, while Fabrice Simon and Ralph Rucci are both painters as well as designers. Contemporary figures such as Cat Chow\, Mary Ping\, and Tavares Strachan exemplify the fluid\, modern boundary that exemplifies how these worlds can merge.  \n\n\n\nArt X Fashion equally surveys the ways in which fashion has been inspired by fine art. Through examples from designers such as Gianni Versace and Franco Moschino\, the exhibition spotlights ways that fashion has used odes to Pop Art classics as a means of commenting on consumer and celebrity culture. These replications of famous artworks on garments and accessories democratized these priceless masterpieces for a mass audience\, lending value\, recognition\, and even humor to fashion pieces\, but also adding cultural capital to the artworks. In some cases\, such as with Grace Wales Bonner\, the application of fine art to fashion extends the message of the original artist.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nElizabeth Way is curator of costume and accessories at The Museum at FIT\, where her recent exhibitions include Black Fashion Designers (2016)\, Fabric In Fashion (2018)\, Head to Toe (2021)\, Fresh\, Fly\, and Fabulous: Fifty Years of Hip Hop Style (2023)\, Food & Fashion (2023)\, and Africa’s Fashion Diaspora (2024). She guest-curated Ann Lowe: American Couturier at Winterthur Museum Garden & Library (2023) and edited the books Black Designers in American Fashion (2021) and Ann Lowe: American Couturier (2023). Way holds an M.A. in costume studies from New York University and a doctorate in fashion curation from Central Saint Martins\, University of the Arts London. \n\n\n\n\nLearn more about accessibility at the Museum at FIT here. In a city defined by its symbolic landscape\, from the National Mall to neighborhood murals\, Washington\, DC\, provides a powerful backdrop for exploring questions such as: \n\n\n\n\nHow do monuments and public artworks influence our experience of shared spaces?\n\n\n\nWhat do these structures communicate about power\, memory\, identity\, and belonging?\n\n\n\nHow are communities rethinking the presence\, absence\, or removal of monuments in response to evolving social and cultural perspectives?\n\n\n\nWhat responsibilities do artists\, institutions\, and civic leaders hold in shaping the visual and symbolic landscape of our cities?\n\n\n\n\nThis Topic Dinner invites open dialogue around the past\, present\, and future of public art\, considering both its creative potential and its complex histories. \n\n\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you back to the table for an evening of thoughtful exchange\, meaningful connections\, and collective inquiry. \n\n\n\nFull address will be provided upon registration. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $25\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guests – $35*\n\n\n\n\n*Each member is allowed to bring one guest with them at this time. We encourage members to bring a member of the visual arts field who would enjoy this community engagement opportunity. \n\n\n\nNot a member? SUMMARY:Baltimore\, MD | Curator-Led Tour of "Amy Sherald: American Sublime" with Asma Naeem
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a curator-led tour of Amy Sherald: American Sublime at the Baltimore Museum of Art!  \n\n\n\nThe exhibition tells the story of Sherald’s vision and practice through approximately 40 paintings created from 2007 to the present—from her early\, rarely seen works to her iconic\, larger-than-life portraits of Black Americans in everyday moments. \n\n\n\nAmerican Sublime in Baltimore is more than an exhibition—it’s an occasion of civic pride and cultural affirmation. Sherald graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art\, studying under the famed painter Grace Hartigan\, and worked in Baltimore during her formative years. \n\n\n\nAsma Naeem (she/her) was appointed the Dorothy Wagner Wallis Director at the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) in January 2023. She is the eleventh director of the 110-year-old museum and also the first person of color and the first person raised in Baltimore to lead the organization. \n\n\n\nNaeem is widely recognized for her advocacy of women and underrecognized artists\, for her scholarship in contemporary and American art\, and for her vision and work in collections diversification. SUMMARY:Washington\, DC | Curator-Led Tour of "Anonymous Was a Woman: Jae Ko | linn meyers | Joyce J. Scott | Renée Stout" with Dr. Vesela Sretenović
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a curator-led tour of Anonymous Was A Woman: Jae Ko | linn meyers | Joyce J. Scott | Renée Stout at The Kreeger Museum\, led by exhibition curators Dr. Vesela Sretenović. \n\n\n\nAnonymous Was a Woman: Jae Ko | linn meyers | Joyce J. Scott | Renée Stout\, dovetails with the recent group exhibition\, Anonymous Was a Woman: The First 25 Years organized by and presented at the New York University’s Grey Art Museum\, April 1-July 19\, 2025\, and co-curated by Nancy Princenthal and Vesela Sretenović. \n\n\n\nThe Grey exhibition celebrated the first quarter-century of the Anonymous Was a Woman (AWAW) grant program\, established in 1996 by visionary philanthropist and artist Susan Unterberg. The program is dedicated to supporting mid-career women artists living and working in the United States. Its name refers to a phrase in Virginia Woolf’s essay A Room of One’s Own\, which underscores the challenges that creative women have historically faced in a male-dominated society.  \n\n\n\nThe Kreeger Museum’s exhibition\, curated by Sretenović\, focuses exclusively on four AWAW recipients who reside and work in the Washington\, DC metropolitan area: Jae Ko (AWAW 2012)\, linn meyers (AWAW 2023)\, Joyce J. Scott (AWAW 1997)\, and Renée Stout (AWAW 1999). While the Grey exhibition featured works created around the time of each artist’s award\, The Kreeger Museum’s presentation spotlights the most recent work of its participating artists\, picking up where the Grey show left off in 2020. Moreover\, whereas the Grey offered a broader overview of artistic production by women-artists in the first 25 years of the award\, The Kreeger Museum aims to present a more focused\, in-depth look at the new works of Ko\, meyers\, Scott\, and Stout. \n\n\n\nIn this respect\, The Kreeger Museum’s exhibition not only celebrates artists based in the DMV area —aligning with the Museum’s mission—but also extends the reach of the AWAW program beyond New York City\, further disseminating its mission: to support and bring greater visibility to the creative output of women artists. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $30\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $20\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guests – $25\n\n\n\n\n\nAll registrants for this event will be provided with a 20% discount on ArtTable’s limited edition scarf celebrating 25 Years of Anonymous Was a Woman\, created in 2021 in conjunction with ArtTable’s 45 year anniversary and the year Susan Unterberg received the Distinguished Service to the Visual Arts Award. Made of 100% silk habotai\, only a handful of scarves remain in our inventory! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? Join today! \n\n\n\nAll program registration fees go toward event expenses and administrative costs for the organization. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Curator \n\n\n\nDr. Vesela Sretenović has been a long-time curator of modern and contemporary art with special interest in cross-disciplinary art practices and in bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Most recently (2009-23) she served as Director of Contemporary Art Initiatives and Academic Affairs at The Phillips Collection in Washington DC. During her tenure\, she had organized Intersections\, a series of ongoing contemporary art projects\, as well as monographic exhibitions of prominent artists including Robert Ryman\, Ellsworth Kelly\, Antony Gormley\, and the first museum retrospective of Cuban artist Zilia Sanchez. Additionally\, she oversaw academic partnership initiatives with the University of Maryland (UMD) and the University of Virginia (UVA). Prior to The Phillips\, Sretenović worked at Brown University\, the University at Buffalo SUNY\, and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. She is a frequent visiting faculty\, teaching modern and contemporary art history and theory\, and works as an independent curator. Sretenović holds a BA in Art History from University of Belgrade\, Former Yugoslavia\, an MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, and a PhD in Humanities from Syracuse University. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage credits:Pictured (left to right): Detail\, linn meyers\, The Moon is a Thief\, 2025\, acrylic ink and acrylic gouache on linen. SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Private Collection Tour of the Deutsche Bank Art Collection
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a private collection tour at the Deutsche Bank Center. \n\n\n\nLocated in the center of one of the world’s most multi-cutural cities\, the Deutsche Bank Collection at Columbus Circle reflects New York’s globally renowned and vibrant contemporary art scene. Since it was established in the late 1970s\, the collection has focused on the medium of paper\, and there is a reason for this: the idea was that art should not be hung only on the executive floors and lobbies\, but in all of its offices and retail branches. Works on paper\, drawings\, collages\, and photographs serve this purpose well\, among other things because of their high artistic quality and their experimental spirit. With this strategy\, the Deutsche Bank Collection broke new ground at the time. \n\n\n\nHighlights of the Deutsche Bank Collection include Joan Mitchell\, Jennie C. Jones\, HelenFrankenthaler\, Wangechi Mutu\, Keith Haring\, Eva Hesse\, Carrie Mae Weems\, Amy Sillman\, and more. You can read more about the collection here. \n\n\n\n\n\nProgram Admission: This program is open to ArtTable Executive\, Circle\, Patron\, and Benefactor members until October 3. If space allows\, this program will open to other membership levels and the general public. \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $45\n\n\n\nArtTable Guests – $55\n\n\n\n\nNot a member?
