Her client base includes private collectors\, galleries\, estates\, start-ups\, art dealers\, museums\, advisors and financial institutions. Anne-Laure is a graduate of Université Paris X\, Nanterre and Université Paris II\, Panthéon-Assas. She received her J.D. and LL.M. from Cornell University. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMaura Kehoe Collins is founder and director of Artiphile\, an independent art advisory firm specializing in art collections management services.  Established in 1991 to promote the conscientious stewardship of cultural property\, Artiphile is primarily concerned with the preservation of artistic and historic works held in collections outside museums.  Artiphile implements museum standard procedures for inventory and registration\, cataloguing\, photo-documentation and records management\, condition surveys and baseline condition reports; advises on installation\, conservation and framing\, lighting\, environmental controls\, appraisal and insurance needs\, loans\, storage\, packing\, and transit; provenance and authentication procedures\, as well as succession concerns. All needs germane to the proper maintenance of any art collection large or small\, from acquisition to disposition. \n\n\n\nCollins is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College with a BA in Art History and a minor in Asian Studies acquired during fourteen months of study in Taiwan and at Beijing Normal University in the PRC.  During college Collins worked as a curatorial assistant in the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum and as acting registrar initiated the project to computerize the Museum’s catalogue.  In post graduate studies Collins was the first recipient of the C.V. Starr Fellowship for training in Far Eastern Art Conservation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art\, New York\, a position she held for three years.  A Kress Foundation grant then funded an internship in the Eastern Pictorial Art Conservation Department of the British Museum\, London\, which led to a permanent post.  Collins continued her interest in computerized documentation by representing her department on a task force to network conservation records in all UK museums. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSharon Chrust has been involved in the Contemporary Art market for over 25 years.  In 2003\, she started Sharon Chrust & Associates\, which provides appraisal and art consulting services to private and corporate clients. She has attained the highest accreditation of the Appraisers Association of America\, that of a Certified member and is the Immediate Past President of the Board of the organization.  In addition\, Sharon has been an adjunct instructor at New York University in the Appraisal Studies program\, is an instructor for the Appraisers Association of America’s CASP program\, and was President of the Board of Franklin Street Works\, a non-profit arts space in Stamford\, Connecticut. \n\n\n\nSharon has participated in a number of national and international panels\, and discussions on art and art appraising\, in cities as diverse as Shanghai\, New York City\, Greenwich\, and Sarasota. She has been quoted in articles in Artnews\, and Artsy\, and has written articles on insurance appraisals\, and contributed essays to publications on posthumous editions\, and appraisal writing. Prior to starting Sharon Chrust & Associates\, Sharon was a gallery director at the Waterside Art Gallery in Stamford\, CT\, a docent at the Whitney Museum of American Art and worked in the public relations department of the Cooper Hewitt Museum. She has a Masters in Art History from Hunter College\, a BA from Boston University\, has completed the Certificate of Appraisal Studies at NYU and has passed the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice Exam. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTanya Wells began her career in museum education at The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth under Terri Thornton and Michael Auping. She has worked as a specialist and sales director with Christie’s New York and Bonhams in 19th and 20th Century art for almost twenty years. Tanya also spent a brief time with Winston Art Group in the advisory division assisting large collections and family offices.  \n\n\n\nTanya currently owns and oversees TMSW Art Advisory\, an independent practice focused on creating fine art collections and consulting with families and fiduciaries to manage the unique needs of collectors during a transition\, or at the end of a collecting period. Tanya is a former participant in the ArtTable career fair\, a member of The Modern and Contemporary Collectors Committee of The Morgan Library and Museum\, an IFAR supporter\, and recently became a member of The Cosmopolitan Club.

DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a curator-led tour of Madalena Santos Reinbolt: A Head Full of Planets at the American Folk Art Museum\, led by Valérie Rousseau\, PhD\, Curatorial Chair and Senior Curator of 20th-Century & Contemporary Art. \n\n\n\nFeaturing 42 textile works and oil paintings\, Madalena Santos Reinbolt: A Head Full of Planets is the first comprehensive survey of Santos Reinbolt’s art ever presented and marks the first-ever solo museum exhibition for the artist organized outside her native Brazil. Best known for her large-scale embroideries made from hundreds of vibrant colored threads\, which the artist referred to as quadros de lã (“wool paintings”)\, the exhibition represents more than half of all known works by the artist and examines the artist’s work through a variety of lenses\, including gender\, race\, and socio-economic dynamics. \n\n\n\nA Head Full of Planets explores the context in which Santos Reinbolt’s artistic practice crystallized in the early 1950s\, after she became a live-in cook for the architect Lota de Macedo Soares and her partner\, the American poet Elizabeth Bishop\, at their home in Petrópolis\, a mountain getaway favored by Brazilian high society. DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a curator-led tour of Saya Woolfalk: Empathic Universe at the Museum of Arts & Design\, led by Alexandra Schwartz\, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art\, Craft\, and Design. \n\n\n\nThe first retrospective of the artist’s two decades of world-building installations\, the exhibition showcases Woolfalk’s ambitious fictional narrative of an imagined race of women known as “Empathics.” Woolfalk has created for the Empathics’ their own distinctive visual imagery\, symbolism\, and folklore\, which reflect her investigations of African\, African American\, Japanese\, European\, and Brazilian art\, craft\, and storytelling.  In this parable told through garment-based sculptures\, video\, paintings\, works on paper\, and performances\, cultures mix\, clash\, and are ultimately transformed through shared understanding. \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nMember Guests – $20\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? Join us for an evening of light refreshments and engaging conversations with fellow ArtTable members and new connections. \n\n\n\nLocated within the Church of the Covenant in Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood\, Gallery NAGA (formerly Newbury Associated Guild of Artists) was founded in 1977\, when a group of artists placed their work on display in what used to be the chapel of the church.  \n\n\n\nAs we approach our 50th year\, we continue NAGA’s legacy as an inclusive and contemplative sanctuary for art and dialogue\, supporting both emerging and established artists in the New England area and beyond. \n\n\n\nWhile our primary focus is painting\, we also represent exceptional contemporary photographers\, printmakers\, and sculptors. We specialize in studio furniture\, presenting many of the premier makers of unique and limited edition furniture in the country. \n\n\n\nFor this event\, Gallery NAGA is pleased to present our fourth major solo exhibition of paintings by Nicole Chesney. \n\n\n\nNicole Chesney: New Paintings is on exhibition from May 2 to 31.  \n\n\n\nNicole Chesney’s abstract paintings are oil paint on acid-etched and mirrored glass.  This exhibition continues Chesney’s endless wondering with notions of sky and water and investigations of perception. \n\n\n\nGlass\, with all its transformative qualities\, is a surface onto which Nicole Chesney can add\, subtract\, and move oil paint around; colors are reflected in a way that canvas or paper doesn’t allow for.  Seen from one angle\, her painting surfaces are matte and brushy\, seen from another angle\, they are reflective and elusive. \n\n\n\nChesney’s work is exhibited and collected internationally including the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum\, Museum of Fine Arts\, Boston\, New Britain Museum of American Art\, Toledo Museum of Art\, Newport Art Museum\, RISD Museum\, Palm Springs Art Museum\, Corning Museum of Glass and many more. \n\n\n\nAre you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do? SUMMARY:Los Angeles\, CA | Artist Studio Visit with Suchitra Mattai
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to present a studio visit with Suchitra Mattai in Los Angeles! \n\n\n\nSuchitra Mattai is a multi-disciplinary American artist of Indo-Caribbean descent who creates work that sheds light on untold histories through the exploration of memory and myth.  She often combines processes and materials once associated with the domestic sphere\, such as embroidery\, sewing\, “weaving\,” and found clothing\, to honor the labor of women and to preserve ancestral stories.  Past projects include solo exhibitions at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington\, DC\, the ICA San Francisco\, the Tampa Museum of Art\, Socrates Sculpture Park in NYC and group exhibitions at the MCA Chicago\, the ICA Boston\, Crystal Bridges Museum of Art\, the Sharjah Biennial 14 (Sharjah\, UAE)\, and the MCA San Diego. Her works are represented in public and private collections which include Crystal Bridges Museum of Art\, the Denver Art Museum\, the Tampa Museum of Art\, the MCA San Diego\, the Nasher Museum of Art\, and the Joslyn Museum of Art.  Suchitra received an MFA in painting and drawing and an MA in South Asian Art from the University of Pennsylvania\, Philadelphia and is a recent recipient of an Anonymous Was a Woman Award (2023). \n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nArtTable Guests – $20\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $25\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a curator-led tour of Hilma af Klint: What Stands Behind Flowers at the Museum of Modern Art! The tour will be led by Jodi Hauptman\, The Richard Roth Senior Curator\, Department of Drawings and Prints at MoMA. \n\n\n\nIn the spring and summer of 1919 and 1920\, during a period of intense engagement with nature\, artist Hilma af Klint drew flowers almost every day. “I will try\,” she wrote\, “to grasp the flowers of the earth.” This exhibition focuses on a portfolio of drawings new to MoMA’s collection—jewel-toned watercolors made by a keen-eyed naturalist\, attuned to the rhythms and bounty of the blooming season. \n\n\n\nBreaking with traditional botanical art\, af Klint juxtaposed her exquisitely rendered blossoms with precisely drawn diagrams: a blooming sunflower is echoed by nested circles; a marsh marigold is accompanied by mirrored spirals; a cluster of budding branches is set against checkerboards of dots and strokes. With this profusion of forms—an expansion of the abstract language for which she is best known—af Klint visualizes “what stands behind the flowers\,” demonstrating her belief that careful observation of her surroundings reveals ineffable aspects of the human condition. \n\n\n\nAf Klint imagined her portfolio as an atlas—or in botanical terms a flora—that details the plants of Sweden\, where she lived and worked. Hers\, however\, is a flora of the spirit\, a mapping of the natural world in spiritual terms that would stand alongside any scientific resource. DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable at the Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco for an artist talk & exhibition walk through with Masako Miki! \n\n\n\nThe first fully site-responsive exhibition in the new ICA SF at The Cube\, Midnight March will present Masako Miki’s work as never seen before in her largest presentation to date. The exhibition will collapse Miki’s two-dimensional and three-dimensional practices\, bringing her paintings known as “Night Parades” to life in experiential form. \n\n\n\nMasako Miki (b. 1973\, Osaka\, Japan) holds an MFA from San José State University\, CA\, and a BFA from Notre Dame de Namur University\, Belmont\, CA. She has enjoyed solo shows at de Young Museum\, San Francisco; Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive\, CA; ICA San José\, CA; and KMAC Contemporary Art Museum\, Louisville\, KY. She was recently included in a two-person exhibition with Paul Klee at SFMOMA. Her work is in the permanent collections of SFMOMA; BAMPFA; the McEvoy Foundation for the Arts\, CA; Collección SOLO\, Madrid; and Byrd Hoffman Water Mill Foundation\, New York\, among others. Recent commissions include the design of Maison Hermès’ windows in Ginza\, Tokyo; a site-specific installation for the Minna Natoma Arts Corridor in San Francisco; and a permanent installation of bronze sculptures at Uber HQ\, San Francisco. She will have a solo exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art\, San Francisco\, in May 2025\, and a solo exhibition with Jessica Silverman in 2026. Her work is currently included in a group show at the Anderson Collection\, Palo Alto\, CA\, until August 2025. She lives and works in Berkeley\, CA. The Gallery is committed to advancing the teaching and research missions of the University through integrating knowledge across disciplines\, innovation\, and providing access through local\, national\, and global engagement. \n\n\n\nThe Gallery is free and open to the public. \n\n\n\nFor this event\, Arthur Ross Gallery is pleased to present Scattered Earth\, Sounded Depth: Penn Fine Arts MFA Thesis Exhibition\, featuring the work of Eissa Attar and Alvin Luong. \n\n\n\nThrough installation\, moving image\, and printmaking\, Attar and Luong offer poetic reflections on landscapes and cultural histories. Their works explore geography as a site of cultural memory and migration while critically examining documentary practices and modes of display. \n\n\n\nEissa Attar’s practice investigates migration\, belonging\, and entropy through photography and moving image works. In Extract You Again\, a series of sand drawings on acetate layered over images of consumer products and waste\, Attar reflects on cycles of consumption and erasure in Saudi Arabia’s evolving landscape. \n\n\n\nAlvin Luong’s multichannel video installation\, Corals of Bidong\, connects the history of Malaysia’s Bidong Island—once a refugee camp following the Vietnam War—to its present-day use as a coral research facility and a dubious coral wildlife trade. Developed over two years of intensive research\, the work offers a profound meditation on human and natural migration. Through video\, sculpture\, and installation\, Luong examines narratives of survival and the enduring social and environmental impacts of historical events. \n\n\n\nCurated by Emily Zimmerman\, Director of Exhibitions at the Arthur Ross Gallery\, this exhibition marks the debut of the MFA Thesis Exhibition at the Arthur Ross Gallery. \n\n\n\nAre you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do?
