DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable at El Museo del Barrio for a Curator-Led Tour of Coco Fusco: Tomorrow\, I Will Become an Island with Zuna Maza! \n\n\n\nEl Museo del Barrio is proud to present the first U.S. survey of influential Cuban-American artist\, writer\, and activist Coco Fusco (b. 1960\, lives in New York). A renowned artist\, writer\, and activist\, Fusco has been globally lauded for her distinctly perceptive\, acerbic\, and piercing voice. Since the 1990s\, her films\, photographs\, texts\, installations\, and performances have addressed the dynamics of politics and power in relation to issues of representation\, culture\, and institutional critique. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition will include more than three decades of Fusco’s artistic production\, positioning her as one of the foremost artists shaping the contemporary art field. Spanning her now-canonical performance “Two Undiscovered Amerindians Discover the West” (presented with Guillermo Gomez-Peña) to her on-going investigation of post-revolutionary Cuban history and her most recent photographic explorations around U.S. politics\, the show will offer an expansive view of her multidisciplinary career. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $25\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guests – $20\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? Join today! \n\n\n\nAll program registration fees go toward event expenses and administrative costs for the organization. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtTable’s programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis program is supported\, in part\, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage: Coco Fusco\, Dolores From 10 to 10\, 2001. SUMMARY:Miami\, FL | Curator-Led Tour of "Women Pulling At The Threads of Social Discourse: Don't Be Absurd" with Melanie Prapopoulos
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable at the CAMP Gallery for a guided tour of Women Pulling At The Threads of Social Discourse: Don’t Be Absurd followed by a networking reception! \n\n\n\nThe exhibition will explore absurdism\, referencing Franz Kafka\, Albert Camus\, Simone de Beauvoir\, Jose Saramago and/or Samuel Beckett. Artists will apply the ideas and concepts in these works to our modern world\, through which industry and politics\, is still and often dehumanized. Sub-topics include but are not limited to childhood in industrial societies\, sexuality\, gender\, women’s rights\, and education. We asked artists to create circular fiber works to symbolize the continuation of hope in our present experience as we strive to overcome a certain sense of nothingness.  \n\n\n\n\nRegistration: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $15\n\n\n\nArtTable Member Guest – $20\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $25

SUMMARY:Los Angeles\, CA | Curator-Led Tour of "Made in L.A. 2025" with Essence Harden
DESCRIPTION:Gather at the Hammer Museum for a Curator-Led Tour of Made in LA 2025 with Essence Harden! \n\n\n\nMade in L.A. 2025 is the seventh iteration of the Hammer’s signature biennial exhibition that showcases artists practicing throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The 28 participants in the exhibition present work not only made in the city but also grounded in its complex and unfolding terrain. Neither myth nor monolith\, Los Angeles is many things to many people\, and its dissonance is perhaps its most distinguishing feature. The works presented in this year’s biennial include film\, painting\, theater\, choreography\, photography\, sculpture\, sound\, and video. Attitude draws them together: Each engages with this city in ways alternately literal\, formal\, material\, and metaphoric. Conceived or made in Los Angeles\, they are of this city and nowhere else. \n\n\n\n\n\nProgram Admission: \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $25\n\n\n\nArtTable Guests – $30\n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – $35\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? Join today! \n\n\n\nAll program registration fees go toward event expenses and administrative costs for the organization.

SUMMARY:New York\, NY | Private Collection Tour of the Deutsche Bank Art Collection
DESCRIPTION:Join ArtTable for a private collection tour at the Deutsche Bank Center. \n\n\n\nLocated in the center of one of the world’s most multi-cutural cities\, the Deutsche Bank Collection at Columbus Circle reflects New York’s globally renowned and vibrant contemporary art scene. Since it was established in the late 1970s\, the collection has focused on the medium of paper\, and there is a reason for this: the idea was that art should not be hung only on the executive floors and lobbies\, but in all of its offices and retail branches. Works on paper\, drawings\, collages\, and photographs serve this purpose well\, among other things because of their high artistic quality and their experimental spirit. With this strategy\, the Deutsche Bank Collection broke new ground at the time. \n\n\n\nHighlights of the Deutsche Bank Collection include Joan Mitchell\, Jennie C. Jones\, HelenFrankenthaler\, Wangechi Mutu\, Keith Haring\, Eva Hesse\, Carrie Mae Weems\, Amy Sillman\, and more. You can read more about the collection here. \n\n\n\n\n\nProgram Admission: This program is open to ArtTable Executive\, Circle\, Patron\, and Benefactor members until October 3. If space allows\, this program will open to other membership levels and the general public. \n\n\n\n\nArtTable Members – $45\n\n\n\nArtTable Guests – $55\n\n\n\n\nNot a member? Join today! \n\n\n\nAll program registration fees go toward event expenses and administrative costs for the organization. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtTable’s programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage: The Estate of Eva Hesse.
