ArtTable Appoints Nora Gomez-Strauss as Board President and Adds Three New Members to the National Board of Directors

New York, NY,  June 24, 2025 — ArtTable, the foremost professional organization dedicated to the advancement of women and nonbinary professionals in the visual arts, is pleased to announce several key leadership appointments for the 2026 fiscal year, including a new Board President and Vice President, two new chair appointments, and the election of three new members to its National Board of Directors.

Nora Gomez-Strauss, arts administrator, freelance writer, and Assistant Director of Digital Content at the Whitney Museum of American Art, has been named Board President. Jane Glassman, independent fine art consultant and Executive Director of the Fine Art Dealers Association, has been named Vice President. Both leaders have been deeply engaged with ArtTable and bring decades of arts expertise to their new roles.

Gomez-Strauss will lead a 20-member board of accomplished professionals in the art world, including three newly elected members serving three-year renewable terms: 

Amelia K. Brankov is the Founder of Brankov PLLC and Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Art Law Committee. She focuses her practice on art and cultural property law. She advises artist studios, artist estates and foundations, galleries, collectors, curators, art advisors, appraisers, and conservators. She assists clients in all legal aspects of transactions involving artwork, including purchase agreements, consignment agreements, and loan agreements. She represents clients in disputes concerning the title, authenticity, and copyright interests of artwork, as well as business disputes among various players in the art world.

Pamela Hernández is dedicated to crafting narratives and building high-performing teams that amplify an organization’s mission and impact. As the Director of Marketing & Communications at El Museo del Barrio, Pamela leads public relations, website management, email marketing, social media, advertising, signage, and internal communications, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging across all platforms. With over 15 years of experience, she has held roles at esteemed institutions such as the Central Park Conservancy, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Angelica Semmelbauer is the Founder of a private art advisory company, Ellipsis Art, where she helps private and corporate clients with advice and expertise on building and expanding their art collections. Through comprehensive art market research and long-standing relationships with artists and galleries worldwide, she creates a unique selection of artwork tailored to clients’ specific needs, direction, and taste. Angelica graduated from the New York University’s graduate program of Visual Arts Administration in 2004, with a published graduate thesis focused on Russian Non-Conformist art, and was Director of Mimi Ferzt Gallery in New York from 2005-2014.

In addition, ArtTable has appointed two new committee chairs: Lavita McMath Turner, Chief Diversity Officer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, as Finance Chair, and Susanna Sirefman, Founder and President of Dovetail Design Strategists, as Development Chair.

ArtTable continues cultivating leadership that reflects its values, mission, and membership. In Fall 2025, the organization will launch a new Mentorship Program as part of its Impact Initiatives, connecting early-career and established professionals across disciplines and geographies.
