ArtTable’s 2026 Annual Benefit

ArtTable’s 2026 Annual Benefit and Award Ceremony took place on March 18, 2026 at Christie’s in New York City, honoring Bonnie Brennan with the Distinguished Service in the Visual Arts Award and Marcela Guerrero with the New Leadership Award. With special remarks from Nora Gomez-Strauss, Erica Samuels, and 2025 ArtTable Fellow Jac Clayton, the evening was nothing short of inspiring, filled with an extraordinary sense of energy, generosity, and shared purpose—an engaged and passionate community coming together in support of ArtTable and the future of the visual arts.

Bonnie Brennan
Chief Executive Officer, Christie’s

Bonnie Brennan has been Chief Executive Officer of Christie’s since February 1, 2025, leading the world’s leading auction house with a focus on strengthening its heritage while advancing innovation, global reach, and engagement with new audiences.

A native of Michigan and a proud alumnus of Northwestern University (B.A. in Art History & Communications), Bonnie brings more than 28 years of experience in the art and auction world. Before joining Christie’s in 2012, she held senior leadership roles at Sotheby’s, working extensively in business development, trusts & estates.

At Christie’s, Bonnie has held several senior positions. She served as Chairman of Business Development for Christie’s Americas, then as President of the Americas beginning in 2021, during which time the Americas region grew to account for nearly half of Christie’s auction sales. She played­ instrumental roles in landmark auctions, including major estate sales such as those of Jayne Wrightsman, Barney Ebsworth, Paul Allen, Ann and Gordon Getty, and the non-profit Cleveland Clinic.

As CEO, Bonnie continues to guide Christie’s toward its future: preserving its legacy, while amplifying digital innovation, expanding into new markets, and diversifying its collector base.

Outside of the business, Bonnie is committed to philanthropic and educational causes. She serves on various non-profit boards and advisory councils, including those focused on arts, education, and medicine.

New Leadership Awardee

Marcela Guerrero
DeMartini Family Curator, Whitney Museum of American Art

Marcela Guerrero is the DeMartini Family Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Alongside Drew Sawyer, Guerrero is the co-curator of the eighty-second edition of the Whitney Biennial—the longest-running survey of contemporary art in the United States. At the Whitney, Guerrero also curated no existe un mundo poshuracán: Puerto Rican Art in the Wake of Hurricane Maria and Martine Gutierrez: Supremacy in 2022-23, among other exhibitions. From 2014 to 2017, she was the Curatorial Fellow for Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985 organized at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. Prior to joining the Hammer, she worked in the Latin American and Latino art department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Guerrero’s writing has appeared in several exhibition catalogues and in art journals. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Guerrero holds a PhD in art history from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Erica Samuels

In 2007, Erica Samuels co-founded Art & Advisory LLC with Rachel Greene to work with individuals and art institutions to build thoughtful, curated art collections. Projects include ONE57, New York; the Dream Hotel, New York; GEM Hotel, New York; the Eliot Hotel, Boston; the St. Regis Hotel, Aspen; Park Hyatt Hotel; LA and the Park Hyatt flagship hotel in New York City.

In 2015, Erica branched out on her own with Samuels Creative & Co., LLC, expanding the company’s consulting services to larger creative projects for hotels and public spaces, in addition to private advising.

From the development of art programs for existing spaces to the facilitation of commissioned works for public areas, Samuels Creative helps create art collections in line with a client’s specific vision, design story, or marketing mission. Samuels Creative helps companies and individuals navigate the international art world to develop a visual strategy to match their goals and budget.

In addition to collection creation and management, Samuels Creative also publishes exclusive limited edition prints, produces collateral materials based on acquired artworks, organizes auctions for fundraising events and facilitates the loaning of artworks from foundations and private collections to notable public spaces.

With almost 20 years of experience working with galleries, auction houses, museums, arts organizations, and directly with artists, Samuels Creative has cultivated longstanding relationships with key participants in the contemporary art world. These associations yield high-level connections for our clients, lending valuable credibility to their collections. Samuels Creative works closely with several high net worth individuals to help grow and maintain generational collections. Relying on deep market history, decisions are guided by research and an ability to read the market conditions. Samuels Creative believes in maintaining a clients’ privacy and operates with complete discretion.

Jac Clayton

Jac Clayton is a multidisciplinary creative professional, living and making art in New York City, specializing in creative production, project management, and curation across fashion, film, architectural installation, and contemporary art. They graduated in 2025 from The New School’s Dual Degree Program, studying Integrated Design at Parsons School of Design and Urban Studies at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts. Trained as a systems, spatial, and strategic designer, Jac is committed to exploring research, access, and interaction within the public realm. Interested specifically in the ways public art and artistic programming can be used as an educational tool while building just, inclusive, and sustainable worlds. Their work hopes to propel dynamic conversation and often engages with themes of transcorporeality and intergenerational activation.

Jac participated in ArtTable’s Fellowship Program in 2025 at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in New York City, where they worked within LMCC’s Artist Services & Public Programs department supporting summer artist residencies and public programming, including the Works on Water (WoW) Triennial on Governors Island.
