New York Studio School, New York, NY

Cambria Kelley (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist, educator and poet from Los Angeles, CA. She received her B.A in Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside. In 2023, she graduated from the Gallatin School of Individualized Studies at New York University, where she wrote an original research topic on the museum visitor experience and Black speculative practice. Her perspective examines the temporal plane of Black speculative practice in relation to the physical components of the institution. By evaluating the museum from non-traditional perspectives, her work offers a critical engagement with intersections of absence, power, and representation from a radical art praxis. Cambria has over five years of experience working in the fine arts, including archives, libraries, and museums. In this time she has also been exhibited in group shows from Riverside, CA to New York, NY showcasing the materialization of her poetic craft.
