New York, NY | MeetAT at Fountain House Gallery & Studio

March 13 | 5:30 pm 7:00 pm

You’re invited to our next NY MeetAT networking event on March 13, graciously hosted by Rachel Weisman, Gallery Director of Fountain House Gallery & Studio. Join us for an evening of light refreshments and engaging conversations with fellow ArtTable members and new connections.

Fountain House Gallery and Studio supports the careers and creative visions of contemporary artists living with mental illness. Founded by Fountain House in 2000 as a not-for-profit exhibition space for its member artists living and working with mental illness, the Gallery sells original artworks and collaborates with a wide network of artists, curators, and cultural institutions. Embracing artists who are emerging or established, trained or self-taught, Fountain House Gallery cultivates artistic growth, makes a vital contribution to the New York arts community, and challenges the stigma surrounding mental illness.

For this event, the gallery will present Meticulous Markings which features 9 artists who utilize a unique method of mark-making in their work. All works intrigue and invite the viewer to look more closely at the images, to see something more. This fastidious attention to detail by the artist will hopefully transfer to the viewer and allow them time to focus. Everyone’s life is often busy, and people rush about, but we hope this exhibition will allow audiences to pause, reflect, and find hidden things in the art, to bring about a greater sense of well-being.

Are you considering joining ArtTable and want to know more about who we are and what we do? This is a great opportunity for potential members to get to know us!
