In conjunction with the exhibition Wayne Thiebaud: Art Comes From Art, renowned art appraisers, ArtTable members, and experts on the Thiebaud market, Jeremy Stone, ASA, and Frances Zeman, FASA, will engage in a conversation exploring the demad and value of Thiebaud’s various series – including his iconic desserts, cityscapes, and figure studies – and their significance in both historical and contemporary collecting trends.
This in-depth discussion will explore Thiebaud’s lasting impact on both historical and contemporary collecting trends, as well as his connections to the broader European and American art historical landscape. Jeremy Stone, ASA, is the founder and managing director of BMVA LLC. As an Art Advisor, Accredited Senior Appraiser in Fine Art, and former gallerist, she offers expert guidance on acquisitions, sales consulting, deaccessioning, artist/gallery relationships, and business matters related to artist and artworks. Her deep knowledge of professional practices within the art world informs her work with artists, art fairs, auctions houses, collectors, consultants, estates, and galleries.

Fran Zeman, FASA, is director of Appraisal Resource Associates Inc., an internationally recognized firm specializing in fine and decorative art valuation. She is renowned for scholarly appraisal reports on major artists – including Thiebaud, de Kooning, and Diego Rivera – which are held in both public and private collections. Her deep research insightful analysis, and nuanced understanding of value in a complex art market make her a trusted authority among clients and peers alike.
