ArtTable’s Professional Development Series | Building Your Social Media Presence: A Practical Guide for Art Professionals with Juliet Rofé & Jessica Lam

Social media has become one of the most powerful tools for art professionals: a way to sell work, grow your reputation, and connect with peers, collectors, and institutions. But getting started (or restarting) can feel overwhelming, especially when the platforms keep changing and the advice is tough to dissect. This virtual session is a step-by-step introduction designed to help listeners build a presence that genuinely serves their art professional goals.

We’ll begin by getting clear on the goal, whether that’s selling art, becoming better known in your field, attracting opportunities, or simply staying connected to the art world. From there, we’ll walk through choosing the platforms that fit your goals, setting up a profile that represents you well, and deciding what to share and how often. We’ll cover the basics of posting images of your work, writing about it in your own voice, and engaging with others in a way that feels authentic and manageable.

Juliet Rofé AKA Girl Who Eats Art Juliet Rofé is the creative entrepreneur and content creator behind YouTube phenomenon Girl Who Eats Art, where she boasts over 1.6M followers for her eccentric videos spotlighting contemporary art from around the world. She also manages artist Kevin Champeny, whose work has been commissioned by Drake, Mike Tyson, Troye Sivan, Messi, and Karol G, and is displayed in galleries worldwide.

Jessica Lam is a content creator and digital marketing strategist who grew her personal brand to over 10,000 followers and now helps others to do the same on LinkedIn and Instagram.
