Insurance Essentials: The Basics of Protecting Your Home and Business

Two insurance professionals—an underwriter and an insurance broker—will help guide you through the complexities of property and casualty insurance for your personal and commercial risks. Learn about what types of coverages you may need and when you would need them, how to determine how much you may need, how to be a good risk, who to contact for coverage, and more.

Sarah Court, Vice President, Fine Arts, Brown & Brown. Sarah is a specialist fine art and high-net-worth insurance broker with more than two decades of experience navigating the intersection of art, collections, and risk. She has advised galleries, museums, artist estates, private collectors, and multi-generational families across the U.S. and Europe, with a focus on long-term stewardship and strategic risk management for culturally significant assets. Sarah’s career began in London as a Lloyd’s of London fine art insurance broker, where she built a client base that included major museums, global galleries, university collections, auction houses, luxury brands, and high-profile private collectors. This was complimented by her Master’s Degree in Art History, obtained at Richmond, the American International University of London. Prior to joining Risk Strategies, Sarah was Managing Director of a start-up boutique brokerage in NYC for large collector clients, galleries, artists, dealers, and family offices. Prior to that she was Director of Global Fine Art for Aon and National Fine art leader for Frank Crystal and Alliant.
