Washington, DC | Artist Studio Visit with Lex Marie

Lex Marie's Studio Address will be provided to registrants, Georgtown

We're excited to present a studio visit with Lex Marie in Washington, DC!

Lex will walk guests through the large-scale works she has created over the past two years at her current studio before transitioning out in July. She will share her process, the unconventional materials she often incorporates, and how they help tell stories about Black childhood, motherhood, and social justice. Her work is heavily inspired by personal experiences, community narratives, and the resilience of marginalized voices.

Visitors can expect a behind-the-scenes look at how her sculptures and mixed media works come together, and insight into the themes that ground her practice. She will also preview a few upcoming projects that continue to explore these narratives in new ways.
