2026 ArtTable Fellowship Program
Open Call for Fellow Applications through March 17, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST
Compensation: $4,000 Stipend
ArtTable Fellowship Highlights:
- Professional career development.
- Work with established leaders in museums and other arts organizations.
- One-on-one mentoring with an ArtTable member.
- Access to ArtTable’s dynamic professional network.
- Five to Eight-week commitment between June 1 and August 28, 2026 (date range is specific to each project).
- $4,000 stipend.
- Up to $500 reimbursement for travel or moving costs incurred for the Fellowship.
Since 2000, the ArtTable Fellowship Program has focused on strengthening pathways into visual arts careers by providing meaningful professional experiences, mentorship, and network-building opportunities for students and early-career professionals. Now in our 26th year, the program supports individuals navigating the transition from academic training or alternative career paths into professional roles within the arts sector.
ArtTable has supported 195 Fellows, partnered with 105 leading art organizations nationwide, and awarded over $713,000 since the Fellowship’s inception.
During the paid, five-to-eight-week summer program, the Fellows will work closely with established leaders in the field to gain exposure to a range of professional activities at leading museums and arts organizations. They also receive one-on-one mentoring from leading ArtTable members who specialize in their areas of interest. Selected candidates will be able to enjoy the benefits of an ArtTable Membership and will be welcome to attend any of ArtTable’s programs during their Fellowship.
This year, ArtTable offers 10 Fellowship placements at the following Host Organizations:

QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible, applicants must be:
- Early-career individuals seeking opportunities in the visual arts field.
- Applicants may be enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or pre/post-doc programs, have recently graduated, or be transitioning into the arts field from another path. Individuals returning to the workforce after career interruptions — including caregiving, military service, or other life circumstances — are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants should demonstrate interest, experience, or academic engagement relevant to the Host Organization project(s) to which they apply. Selection is based on the strength of the application, alignment with project goals, and commitment to professional growth within the visual arts sector.
- Hold U.S. citizenship, have permanent or temporary residency status, or a current student visa that allows applicants to be paid in the U.S. You must be able to accept a 1099.
