JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work Week:
● Average work week is 40 hours on site at Contemporary Craft with one eight-hour day of work from home optional.
● Work week is generally Monday – Friday. Four (4) Thursday evenings per year are required with a shifted schedule of 1:00 – 9:00 PM; additional evenings may be required for development related events with adjusted schedule and advanced notice.

Position Summary
The Grants and Development Manager develops and maintains a system for managing grants from institutional funders and ensures compliance with all funding requirements. Working with the Executive and Associate Directors, they build strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with foundation and government funders. They collaborate with program and exhibition staff to identify
funding opportunities and seek new prospective sources of support on both local and national levels.

Additionally, they oversee new donor acquisition, entry-level giving strategies, and support and plan events.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foundation and Grants Management (60%)
  • Donor Acquisition and Entry Level Giving (25%)
  • Events and Special Projects (10%)
  • Board Liaison (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

CC is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborate individual who is passionate about advancing the arts and building community. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, experience with institutional fundraising, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Applicant should have at least 3-5 years of nonprofit development experience, with a particular focus on grant writing and fundraising strategies. A successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across departments and build relationships with both internal and
external stakeholders.

Familiarity with donor database systems, and comfort working with data and reporting are essential.

Experience supporting events or donor communications is a plus.

COMPENSATION:

$50,000 – $55,000 annually
