Experience a guided mural tour across the city, explore Cranbrook’s celebrated campus, tour top galleries, and enjoy special access to private collections. Our tailored itinerary blends the best of Detroit’s history, design, art, and culture into one unforgettable adventure.
Highlights of the Itinerary
We will discover Detroit’s architectural splendor through guided visits to its most iconic landmarks, including the Fisher Building with its radiant 20th-century mosaics, the Guardian Building with its sweeping city views, and several other historic treasures. A dedicated mural tour will immerse us in Detroit’s vibrant public art scene, highlighting the hidden gems that reflect the city’s culture, resilience, and community pride.
At the Detroit Institute of Arts, we will spend a full day exploring the museum’s world-class galleries, renowned American Art Collection, and Diego Rivera’s extraordinary Industry Murals.
A highlight of our trip is a full day at Cranbrook, a stunning 300-acre campus just outside the city. At the Cranbrook House & Gardens, we will step into the original estate of founders George and Ellen Booth, followed by a rare Behind-the-Scenes Collections Wing Tour offering exclusive access to areas not open to the public. Our visit will conclude with a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Smith House and the family’s remarkable collection of art and design objects.
As with every ArtTable Tour, we will enjoy special access to private homes and art collections specifically selected for our group. We will also delve into Detroit’s contemporary art scene with insider visits to galleries, exhibitions, and conversations with gallery directors.
Throughout the trip, we will dine at some of Detroit’s most exceptional restaurants and enjoy accommodations at an elegant, luxurious hotel.
