Virtual | Discovering Digital – Yam Karkai and the World of Women NFT Project

February 3, 2022 | 11:00 am

World of Women gif
8am PT/9am MT/10am CT/11am ET

The world is abuzz about NFTs, and it does not come as a shock that the space is awash with male artists. Yam Karkai, the sole artist behind the World of Women (WoW), is a critical voice in the NFT space not just for women but for collective diversity in the crypto community. Join Yam and Yennefer, Head of Communications at WoW, for a virtual discussion about Yam’s vision for this project, how she became a part of the NFT space, the seemingly overnight success of World of Women, and her thoughts on how NFT projects stay relevant in a booming crypto market.

About the speakers

Headshot of Yam KarkaiYam Karkai is a digital illustrator and NFT artist who creates pieces that focus on bringing women into the spotlight while at the same time addressing certain aspects of women’s lives. She does so through vivid harmonious color combinations together with playful, delicate lines and a touch of fantasy.

She is also the creator and illustrator of the “World of Women” project that works on bringing more diversity and representativeness into the NFT world while creating a safe welcoming space for women and minorities and also supporting up and coming artists.
